Hello Pre-K! We had a great week with beautiful weather!
We are exploring how maps work. Part of that is understanding how it is put together out of smaller pieces, like buildings. We did big puzzles in group.
We tie-dyed shirts for Sports Day. The children twisted, folded, and scrunched their shirts, and put the rubber bands on themselves. We helped those who needed it, put most did great!
Then the children put the dye on themselves. It was messy and fun! I will be washing them for everyone this weekend and will send them home next week.
We were able to play outside everyday this week as well!
Our Pre-K focus wall seems to be really helping the children to learn letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and sight words.
We also did some free painting.
We will be sending home your child's Sports Day shirts next week. Please make sure they are wearing them when you bring them to Sports Day on Saturday. Please arrive between 12:50 and 13:00 for Sports Day. And remember each child may only have two guests (small children that will sit in a grown up's lap will not be counted towards the number of guests). Please do not forget to bring your child's water (no tea, juice, or food is allowed in the gym), wear a mask, and maintain social distancing as much as possible. We will have a brief photo opportunity at drop off, and a group photo of the children at the end of the event. But then we need all families to exit the campus as quickly as possible. Thank you for your understanding!
