Hello Pre-K
We finished our dioramas exploring our theme Where We Are in Time and Place. Our focus for this unit was our neighborhood. The children made a diorama of a neighborhood or part of a neighborhood. I then spoke to them individually so I could see what they learned from our unit. They all did great!
We go to Fuji park once or twice a week now. The kids love the different challenges here.
If it's warm enough we have a picnic lunch, and then the kids get to play for a little bit longer outside.
On Friday the children painted snowy skies to complete our weather ceiling. Hopefully we will get some real snow this year!
Next week is Show and Tell week. Please help your child pick something to bring to school that is not too valuable, can be shared with their friends, and is appropriate for school (no weapons).

Friday is our Winter Party. The children asked for another chance to dress up. Anything appropriate for school (PLEASE MAKE SURE THEY CAN STILL GO TO THE TOILET BY THEMSELVES) is okay. They can dress like a princess, a dinosaur, a snowman, or just wear fancy party clothes.
We will also be doing special snack. The children are allowed to bring a small treat (NOT TO SHARE). Please make sure it is not too big, as we still want to reinforce being balanced and healthy. Just a reminder, this is a special event, and normally no high sugar foods are allowed. Please help your child understand this does not mean they can have sweet treats for snack on other days.
